The LED weighted base is a metal plate that adheres to the magnetic base of the Beacons and Chaselight. It can be used in combination with the Cone Adaptor to create the Ground Stand. The Weighted Base is not needed to hold the flares in place on the roadside. The Beacons and Chaselight have very low profiles and will not blow away from highway traffic. With the Weighted Base, the LED Beacon weighs 1 ½ lbs.
